Na Hong-jin’s sci-fi action thriller “Hope” (rated 16+) will be released nationwide in German theaters on October 8th, following ints world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival. Synopsis In the remote South Korean village of Hope Harbor, police station chief Bum-seok (Hwang Jung-min) and police officer Sung-ae (Hoyeon) are called in to track down a mysterious creature that has wreaked havoc in the village. In the nearby forest, local hunter Sung-ki (Zo In-sung) sets out in pursuit with a group from the village – only to find himself becoming the hunted. But appearance are deceiving. Ignorance soon gives rise to a catastrophe that, fueled by human conflict, escalates into a tragedy of cosmic dimensions.
