Byeolmuri Festival 2025: Heimaten Mosaik „Stories of Existing and Resisting“

For the third time, the Byeolmuri Festival – named after the Korean word for “Aurora of the Stars” – returns. This year’s theme is Mosaics of Home(s).
We celebrate the paths of BIPoC and FLINTA* individuals who are reshaping what belonging means. Through stories, art, and shared experiences, we explore home as a deeply personal and ever-changing concept—shaped by identity, memory, and emotion. Not bound to a place, but to people and community.
This year’s program includes two creative workshops leading up to a one-day festival, where we come together to reflect, create, and celebrate.
